A walking tour to honor the lesser-known Resistance fighters of WWII
In collaboration with
For May 5th, we’re leading a tour about inspiring women, LGBTQI+ people, and people of color who were in the Resistance.
The Resistance fighters we’re featuring did many important things. They ensured that people in hiding were fed. They were among the group that blew up the population register. They risked their lives to smuggle vital information. They saved more than 600 children.
Nevertheless, their stories are forgotten. We want to celebrate May 5 by bringing their stories to light. In these dark times, we hope that sharing their stories will inspire our fellow Amsterdammers.
