We lead the way and you choose the stories! Take a budget-friendly, self-guided walking tour through Amsterdam’s historical center and uncover the city’s untold tales.
This digital and relaxed tour invites you to go at your own pace, beginning in Dam Square and ending in Nieuwmarkt. We guide you through iconic landmarks and lesser-known spots based on your chosen stories.
It’s perfect for visitors and locals, highlighting Amsterdam’s vibrant past through hidden stories across Amsterdam’s overlapping history. These stories tie people to different landmarks throughout Amsterdam’s Centrum.
At each stop, immerse yourself in inspiring stories about the trailblazers who have shaped Amsterdam’s past and present.
As you walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Canal Belt at your own pace, you’ll self-curate the content by choosing from four focused storytelling themes featuring the history of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Jewish figures, LGBTQ+ pioneers, and women’s history.
Each corner of Amsterdam has a story to share at these 12 unique locations.
Our digital tour runs on your phone’s browser, so you can easily translate it to your preferred language.
Accessibility is important to us. Our self-guided tour includes audio, images, maps, and text, ensuring it is accessible and simple to navigate. However you want to learn, we’ve got you covered.
To further encourage you to take your time, your tour is available for 2 weeks after you first unlock it!
